Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

This September, I'm walking and raising funds to support people living with epilepsy, and their families.

Epilepsy is characterised by seizures caused by bursts of electrical energy in the brain. But the way this affects each person is unique. With your help, Epilepsy Ireland can provide support tailored to the needs of each person and family living with epilepsy.

Your support will ensure that people with epilepsy and their families receive the information, advice, and support they need through a network of Community Resource Officers. You will ensure public awareness of epilepsy is improved and stigma and misunderstanding is alleviated. You will help fund vital research projects to find new ways to manage and treat epilepsy and reduce its impact on people’s lives.

I hope you can help me by making a donation. Simply click the Donate button. All donations are processed securely and are received directly by Epilepsy Ireland.

Walking 10,000 Steps for Freya 💜

This September, we’re taking on the 100miles across the month of September for Epilepsy Ireland in honour of our incredible daughter, Freya.

Freya began experiencing seizures when she was just 5 months old. After months of uncertainty, she was diagnosed with epilepsy just before her second birthday. Watching your baby have seizures is something no parent should ever have to experience, and it’s a journey that has tested us in so many ways.

Now 5 years old, Freya is an absolute force of nature. She has a fiery personality, a quick wit, and she’s always great craic. She lights up every room she walks into. She’s incredibly strong, determined with a great open mind to explore and never lets epilepsy define who she is. Every challenge she faces, she meets with courage, resilience, and a smile that melts hearts.

We’re walking every day this September not just for Freya, but for every child, adult, and family living with epilepsy.

Epilepsy affects thousands of people, yet it’s still widely misunderstood. Raising awareness helps people recognise that seizures come in many different forms, encourages understanding instead of fear, reduces stigma, and supports vital research and services for those living with epilepsy.

Every step we take is for our brave little girl and for everyone affected by epilepsy. If you’re able to donate or simply share our page, we would be incredibly grateful. Your support will help make a real difference.

For Freya. For awareness. For hope. One step at a time. 💜
