Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
This September, I'm walking and raising funds to support people living with epilepsy, and their families.
Epilepsy is characterised by seizures caused by bursts of electrical energy in the brain. But the way this affects each person is unique. With your help, Epilepsy Ireland can provide support tailored to the needs of each person and family living with epilepsy.
Your support will ensure that people with epilepsy and their families receive the information, advice, and support they need through a network of Community Resource Officers. You will ensure public awareness of epilepsy is improved and stigma and misunderstanding is alleviated. You will help fund vital research projects to find new ways to manage and treat epilepsy and reduce its impact on people’s lives.
I hope you can help me by making a donation. Simply click the Donate button. All donations are processed securely and are received directly by Epilepsy Ireland.

Walking 100 Miles for Epilepsy: Why Every Step Matters
Wednesday 19th AugThis September, I am taking on a challenge that is both deeply personal and physically demanding: I am walking 100 miles to raise vital funds and awareness for people living with epilepsy and their families.
Epilepsy is a neurological condition characterized by recurrent, unprovoked seizures caused by sudden bursts of electrical energy in the brain. But behind the clinical definition lies a human reality—no two people experience epilepsy in the exact same way. For some, it means managing unpredictable physical seizures; for others, it means navigating memory issues, medication side effects, emotional strain, or the constant worry of when the next seizure might occur.
Because epilepsy affects every individual uniquely, personalized care, education, and community resources are essential. That is precisely why I am lacing up my walking shoes and logging these 100 miles.
Where Your Donations Go
Taking on 100 miles is a big commitment, but the impact of your support goes far beyond the pavement. Every single contribution helps fund crucial initiatives:
Tailored Community Support: Funding local Community Resource Officers who offer direct, personalized guidance, advice, and advocacy to individuals and families adjusting to life with epilepsy.
Ending Misunderstanding and Stigma: Raising public awareness to replace misconceptions with empathy, knowledge, and actionable seizure first-aid skills.
Advancing Life-Changing Research: Supporting groundbreaking research projects focused on developing innovative treatments, improving seizure management, and working toward better outcomes for everyone affected.
How You Can Support the Journey
Whether you are able to contribute financially or simply share the message, your support keeps me motivated step after step.
