Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

This September, I'm walking and raising funds to support people living with epilepsy, and their families.

Epilepsy is characterised by seizures caused by bursts of electrical energy in the brain. But the way this affects each person is unique. With your help, Epilepsy Ireland can provide support tailored to the needs of each person and family living with epilepsy.

Your support will ensure that people with epilepsy and their families receive the information, advice, and support they need through a network of Community Resource Officers. You will ensure public awareness of epilepsy is improved and stigma and misunderstanding is alleviated. You will help fund vital research projects to find new ways to manage and treat epilepsy and reduce its impact on people’s lives.

I hope you can help me by making a donation. Simply click the Donate button. All donations are processed securely and are received directly by Epilepsy Ireland.

Every Step Counts: My September Walking Challenge ✨️

Tuesday 1st Sep
Hello 🤗

I'm Samantha, and I've decided to take on a walking challenge this September to support Epilepsy Ireland. I wanted to share a little bit about why this challenge has become so meaningful to me.

Lately, I've been taking better care of my health and making some positive changes to my daily routine. Walking has become a big part of that. What started as simply trying to be more active has turned into something I genuinely enjoy.

It has helped improve my mood, energy, routine and overall wellbeing. I've also been able to see a huge improvement in my recent blood test results, which has been a really encouraging reminder that small, consistent changes can make a difference.

Johnny, my husband, decided to join me on this journey too s2
He has completely embraced this change with me, and what started as something I was doing for myself has become something we do together. Every kilometre and every little achievement now feels even more meaningful to both of us.

And here's the funny part: the challenge hasn't even properly started yet and I've already walked more than 130 miles! 😂

I originally joined in August, so I've already been counting my walks, but I'm definitely not stopping. Walking has become such a positive part of my life that I would honestly recommend it to everyone. Even if you start slowly, getting out and moving a little more can be such a positive change.

This time, I'm also walking to support a cause that helps people and families affected by epilepsy across Ireland. ❤️

My fundraising goal is €250, and I'd be incredibly grateful for any support. Even a small donation can help, and sharing my fundraising page can make a difference too.

Thank you so much to anyone who reads this, donates, shares my challenge or simply cheers me on. Every bit of support means a lot to us. 🥰

Let's keep walking!
