Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

This March, I'm walking and raising funds to support people living with epilepsy, and their families.

Epilepsy is characterised by a discharge of electrical energy in the brain, but the way this affects each person is unique. With your help, Epilepsy Ireland can provide support tailored to the needs of each person and family living with epilepsy.

Your support will ensure that people with epilepsy and their families receive the information, advice, and support they need through a network of 11 Community Resource Officers. You will ensure public awareness of epilepsy is improved and stigma and misunderstanding is alleviated. You will help fund vital research projects to find new ways to manage and treat epilepsy and reduce its impact on people’s lives.

I hope you can help me by making a donation. Simply click the Donate button. All donations are processed securely and are received directly by Epilepsy Ireland.

One foot in front of the other

Saturday 14th Mar

Feeling a bit under the weather this weekend 🤧 but still managed to get 2 miles in. Not every day is about big miles — sometimes it’s just about showing up and putting one foot in front of the other. 💪

Rest day

Friday 13th Mar

Rest day yesterday… well kind of 😅

Only managed 2.3 miles but sometimes the body just needs to slow down and recharge. Still got out for a bit of fresh air and a walk with Murphy 🐶

Tonight’s Superviser

Wednesday 11th Mar
Murphy supervising camogie training tonight… quality control and step counter all in one! 🐶🏑🐾”

Misty Walks

Tuesday 10th Mar
Misty rain, river walk and Murphy leading the way 🐾🌧️ The miles keep adding up.

Best of both worlds

Sunday 8th Mar
Sunrise walks and Camogie battles. Myself and Murphy started the day with a peaceful stroll by the river, then straight into the action on the pitch. Best of both worlds. 🌅🏑

Hide and seek

Saturday 7th Mar
“Morning miles with Murphy 🐶 Murphy decided it was the perfect time to play hide and seek… can you spot him? 🐶😂”

Challenge is under way

Friday 6th Mar
My challenge is well underway and I’m slowly but surely getting the miles in. With Murphy by my side. Some days are easier than others, especially with the lovely Irish weather ☔️but every step feels worth it.Thank you to everyone who has supported, donated, or even just cheered me on – it really means a lot.

Sluggish kind of day

Friday 6th Mar
“We are not feeling like moving much today… but somehow 3.1 miles happened! 🚶‍♀️💨 Marching on towards 100 miles for Epilepsy Ireland — sluggish legs, strong determination!”

Soggy walks

Thursday 5th Mar

“Day 5 of my 100 Miles for Epilepsy Ireland challenge. Murphy decided the pouring rain was the perfect time for a walk… so we went for it and got absolutely drenched! 🌧️🐾

Every soggy mile is worth it though.

Murphy and I will keep getting the miles in… rain or shine! 💜🚶‍♀️”

What a day for a walk

Time well spent

Tuesday 3rd Mar

If you see me dancing at camogie training, no I haven’t lost the plot (well… maybe a little 😅). I just need to get the steps and miles in!

The girls at last night session were either joining in or looking at me like I’m completely mad — but every step counts. Between walking Murphy (my beagle puppy) twice a day and throwing in a few dance moves at camogie training, I’ll get there.

02/03

Monday 2nd Mar
Epilepsy has always been a part of my life. My sister has it, and so does my daughter. I’ve seen first-hand the emotional and physical toll it can take — the worry, the hospital visits, the uncertainty, and the strength it takes to keep going every single day.

Family

Thursday 19th Feb

“Epilepsy has shaped our family in ways people don’t always see. It’s brought fear, hospital visits, sleepless nights and constant worry. It’s the ache of watching someone you love go through something you can’t fix. It’s learning to live with uncertainty.”
