Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

This March, I'm walking and raising funds to support people living with epilepsy, and their families.

Epilepsy is characterised by a discharge of electrical energy in the brain, but the way this affects each person is unique. With your help, Epilepsy Ireland can provide support tailored to the needs of each person and family living with epilepsy.

Your support will ensure that people with epilepsy and their families receive the information, advice, and support they need through a network of 11 Community Resource Officers. You will ensure public awareness of epilepsy is improved and stigma and misunderstanding is alleviated. You will help fund vital research projects to find new ways to manage and treat epilepsy and reduce its impact on people’s lives.

I hope you can help me by making a donation. Simply click the Donate button. All donations are processed securely and are received directly by Epilepsy Ireland.

Day 3

Tuesday 3rd Mar
Only 3km done this morning as I had planned on doing more this evening. Unfortunately I felt unwell during the day so won’t be doing any more today. I’ll make up for it though 😉

Day 1

Sunday 1st Mar
I was hoping to do Croagh Patrick today but unfortunately that didn’t work out. I opted for the treadmill whilst watching Bridgerton 😊 6.1km completed out of 160km. Day 1 done, 153.9km to go 🙌

My why

Sunday 22nd Feb
Epilepsy affects over 10,000 children in Ireland, my dear friends son is one of those children, and I've seen how incredibly tough it is on him and his parents. Sleepless nights, endless hospital visits and constant worry take a toll, but of course you'd never know it by looking at them, as they just get on with things and never complain. By helping to raise funds for this charity I hope that families like my friends get the support they need.

Approximately 40,000 to 45,000 people in Ireland live with epilepsy, which is about 1 in 115 people. It is a common neurological condition, affecting over 10,000 children and 10,000 women of childbearing age.
I'm going to try to do the walks in different places and get some hikes in, so will share pics when I do, there will be quite a few on the treadmill too mind 😅
