Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
This March, I'm walking and raising funds to support people living with epilepsy, and their families.
I have epilepsy and understand the difficulties and challenges it can have on your daily life. My diagnosis came in 2022, which was linked to a craniotomy I had seven months earlier following a haemorrhaged brain aneurysm. It’s been a challenging journey, but thanks to the incredible support of my family, friends, colleagues and my community, I’ve come a long way — and now I feel it’s time to give something back.
Epilepsy is something that often goes unseen. On the outside, we may look healthy, normal, and fully functional, but there’s a lot happening beneath the surface.
Apart from being on and off the road, there are two things I’ve found particularly difficult:
Finding the right anti-seizure medication — for me it took nearly 3 years.
Dealing with constant fatigue — a struggle that can make even simple days feel long and heavy.
I think this challenge will be really good for me but more importantly help others with epilepsy that need the support and to help bring awareness.
I hope you can help me by making a donation. Simply click the Donate button. All donations are processed securely and are received directly by Epilepsy Ireland.

Getting there slowly but surely🤞
Tuesday 17th Mar It has been a very challenging journey so far. First week I put my everything i could do into this. Got up at 6am every morning because I do not have the energy in the evening after a long day's work and home to family life with 3 teens. Unfortunately I over did it and am suffering shin splints in my right leg, physically couldn't walk properly. Got checked out in VHI clinic with xray and referred to podiatry clinic that confirmed I have a Plantar Fibroma in my right foot. I knew there was something not right there for the last few years but didn't get it checked out. Was unable to do any walks because of the swelling and soreness but am still determined to continue. Rested for about 5 days and am slowly increasing my walks. Still some pain & small bit of swelling but treating it daily. Hoping to do a lot better this week fingers crossed 🤞
A start
Sunday 1st Mar I miss my former self, I was very active in fitness, walking, boot camp, very involved in my community, family gatherings that i would host regularly. They are distant to me now. Finding the energy to cook dinner is my struggle, Finding the energy to keep in contact with friends. Epilepsy takes so much away from you. I hadn't intended on signing up for this but I did and in doing so I decided to be very honest about the struggles, the good & the not so. I was very nervous about starting and the responsibility it brings. I succeeded today and hope to tomorrow 👊Thank you to my Sponsors
