This September, I'm walking and raising funds to support people living with epilepsy, and their families.
Epilepsy is characterised by seizures caused by bursts of electrical energy in the brain. But the way this affects each person is unique. With your help, Epilepsy Ireland can provide support tailored to the needs of each person and family living with epilepsy.
Your support will ensure that people with epilepsy and their families receive the information, advice, and support they need through a network of Community Resource Officers. You will ensure public awareness of epilepsy is improved and stigma and misunderstanding is alleviated. You will help fund vital research projects to find new ways to manage and treat epilepsy and reduce its impact on people’s lives.

Saturday 29th Aug I was diagnosed with epilepsy in my 30s after years of other diagnoses, some of those earlier answers were valid, they never fully explained what was happening to me.My consultant provided all the necessary clinical information, but it wasn't until I found Epilepsy Ireland that I got real, practical answers for daily life. They supported me through the entire diagnosis process. Now, I want to give back so others can get the same help and clarity I did.
