Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

This March, I'm walking and raising funds to support people living with epilepsy, and their families.

Epilepsy is characterised by a discharge of electrical energy in the brain, but the way this affects each person is unique. With your help, Epilepsy Ireland can provide support tailored to the needs of each person and family living with epilepsy.

Your support will ensure that people with epilepsy and their families receive the information, advice, and support they need through a network of 11 Community Resource Officers. You will ensure public awareness of epilepsy is improved and stigma and misunderstanding is alleviated. You will help fund vital research projects to find new ways to manage and treat epilepsy and reduce its impact on people’s lives.

I hope you can help me by making a donation. Simply click the Donate button. All donations are processed securely and are received directly by Epilepsy Ireland.

Exceeding expectations

Saturday 7th Feb
THANK YOU. Not even 24 hours and so many have you have been more than generous to support epilepsy Ireland. We have already beat my initial goal of 500 which is insane for just me going for a walk. I am going to up my new goal to 1000 and I am going to start walking today.

Steps of strength

Friday 6th Feb
I developed epilepsy when I was 19, at an age when the future still felt wide open, and in an instant that future was reshaped into something far more fragile and uncertain. What followed wasn’t just my diagnosis, but a ripple of fear and vigilance that settled over my family — my mam living with a constant worry, my brothers always half-watching, half-waiting, my family loving me through a fear they could never switch off. My friends were forced to grow up with me, learning how to sit beside someone they couldn’t fix, carrying the helplessness of watching their friend lose control in moments that were frightening for all of us.

Epilepsy is a neurological condition where sudden bursts of electrical activity in the brain cause seizures — unpredictable, often invisible, and life-altering in ways most people never see.
This March, I want to turn that uncertainty into purpose by raising funds and challenging myself to walk 100 miles or more. Every step is for those who live with epilepsy, for the families who worry quietly, and for the friends who stand by when there’s nothing they can do but care. It’s my way of giving back so that there is continuous support for those who live with epilepsy — one step at a time.
